Our Team
Alina Shushkevich is a Clinical Psychologist who practises with a person-centred approach as her guiding principle. Her style is dynamic, taking guidance from clients on how they want their treatment and sessions to be structured. She works collaboratively to understand each individual’s unique concerns and therapy goals.
The initial focus of therapy with Alina is to build insight and help clients understand the unhelpful patterns affecting their daily lives and contributing to emotional, behavioural, and relationship challenges.
Drawing on this understanding, she supports clients in developing practical skills to manage difficulties and enhance psychological wellbeing.

Common Concerns We Support
We work with children (6+), young people, adults, and couples, offering both assessment and therapy.
Approaches That Aim to Help You Move Forward
Our team is experienced in using a variety of frameworks. The psychological services we offer are driven by your individual needs, because what works for one person may not work for another.
Schema Therapy
Some patterns follow us through life, in how we relate, react, and see ourselves. Schema therapyaims to help you understand where they began and how to potentially change them.

EMDR
Difficult experiences don't always stay in the past. EMDR therapy aims to help your brain process traumatic memories so that they may lose their hold on you.
CBT
The way we think shapes the way we feel. CBT is a form of talk therapy designed to help you identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with ones that may serve you better.
MBT
Our emotions and relationships are deeply connected. MBT often helps you understand your own inner world and the people around you more clearly.

DBT
When emotions feel overwhelming, DBT may help you learn practical skills to manage them more easily and build more stable relationships.
ACT
Difficult thoughts and feelings are part of being human. ACT aims to help you learn how to make room for them while still moving toward what matters to you.
Animal Assisted Therapy
Sometimes an animal helps to create a sense of calm. Poppy, our therapy dog, works with us to provide a grounding, welcoming space for our clients who wish to have her join them.
